TYPICAL PLANS

Convergence on stoppings with man doors has always caused problems in mines. The door frames get squeezed and do not seal properly. Not only does this cause air leakage, but it can destroy doors to the point that they are not reusable. KrushBlock™ will absorb the convergence and prolong the efficiency of the door.

KrushBlock™

OVERVIEW

KrushBlock™ is an MSHA-accepted sealing and yielding medium ideal for use in situations where masonry or steel ventilation stoppings are subject to heaving and converging conditions.

The blocks are phenolic foam and test to a fire rating in excess of one hour. When installed, costly air leakage can be greatly reduced.

Because of its compressive properties, the integrity of stoppings and doors is prolonged by absorbing roof and floor movements.
