Since the late 1980's, MPI has represented King Cobra Mining Equipment (Rambor) products in North and South America. Our King Cobra equipment continues to be used in some of the harshest underground environments. The products have evolved over the past three decades and are continuously improving.

Dust Suppression:
Wet Head vs Dust Collection Head

Wet Head Roofbolters
"Wet Head" roofbolters may be used to drill the roof, either wet or dry. The roofbolter has an operator-controlled water valve. Grooved auger water steels or hex steels may be used to drill wet. Auger steels may be used to drill dry.

Dust Collection Head Roofbolters
Dust Collection Heads are designed to attach to the MPI Dust Collection System. This System is a pneumatic vacuum that sits in-line with the roofbolter, collecting the rock fines from the hole being drilled. Hex steels are recommended when using the Dust Collection Head.

OVERVIEW

The King Cobra Top Mount Roofbolter leads the way with a more advanced design and superior balance.

This machine offers increased torque and thrust compared to traditional King Cobra Drills. The cone and cup bearing in the top end of the gear box allows greater tolerance to end loads when bolting and minimizes maintenance on gear box components.

Recorded noise levels for the Top Mount Roofbolter are 84 dBA at the coal face. The design of the silencer/muffler ensures that misting oil at discharge/retraction of the unit is kept to a minimum and away from the operator.

Each Top Mount Roofbolter is equipped with a twin dump valve system which speeds up your bolting cycle with quick retraction with minimal operator effort. The twin dump valves allow the unit to exhaust at twice the normal rate.

The King Cobra Top Mount Roofbolter is available with the wet/dry or Dust Collection System drilling heads.
